Continuing my theme on excessive power consumption. As mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve just bought a Sumvision Akita III 7″ Digital Photo Frame. Offered it to my power meter and surprised to find that it takes 3W when in Standby and 10W when running. I’ve put a mechanical time swicth on as who wants pictures rolling during the night ;-) But then it would have been much better if the frame had a built in time/clock function for such a function. So take care on those watts! In terms of picture quality I’d say its ok, but still good value considering it came in under £40.
